Is WordPress Website Maintenance the Right Fit?

Website maintenance works best when the current WordPress site is fundamentally usable and the goal is ongoing upkeep, monitoring, and routine technical support rather than a major project.

I review the public site and the information you provide to determine whether the website is suitable for ongoing care.

3. Plan & Price

You receive the recommended plan, included maintenance scope, exclusions, monthly price, and any setup requirements in writing.

4. Care Setup

After approval and payment, I confirm backups, update workflow, monitoring, and the practical maintenance baseline for the site.

5. Ongoing Care & Updates

I handle the agreed recurring maintenance and send written notes when an issue, decision, or separately scoped project needs your attention.

No recurring meeting is required. Routine maintenance and updates are handled through written communication.

What Happens When Something Needs More Than Maintenance

A maintenance plan should not hide larger work inside a monthly fee. If I find something that needs a separate repair, redesign, or development project, I explain the issue and scope it separately before doing additional work.

Examples of work that may need a separate scope include:

  • A plugin or theme failure that requires deeper troubleshooting
  • A broken layout, form, or feature that has become a standalone repair project
  • A new page, new feature, or substantial content implementation
  • A major malware or security incident
  • Hosting or server problems outside normal WordPress-level maintenance
  • A website that has reached the point where redesigning is more economical than repeatedly patching it

You stay in control of the decision. Additional project work is not added automatically to the monthly plan.

What Is Not Included in Website Maintenance

Clear boundaries keep a maintenance plan useful and predictable. Website Care is recurring upkeep and bounded support, not an unlimited website-development subscription.

Standard Website Care does not include:

  • 24/7 emergency response or guaranteed instant support
  • Major malware or security-incident remediation
  • Full website redesigns or rebuilds
  • Unlimited page creation, content entry, design, or development
  • Custom application development
  • Complex WooCommerce operations or ongoing store management
  • Managed SEO campaigns, link building, or ongoing content creation
  • Deep server administration outside normal WordPress-level checks
