WEBSITE REPAIR & TROUBLESHOOTING
Website repair for problems that need a real diagnosis—not another guess.
If something broke, stopped working properly, slowed down, or started behaving strangely, send me the site and tell me what you’re seeing. I’ll investigate the problem and recommend the smallest sensible repair I can support with evidence.
START WITH THE SYMPTOM
What kind of problem are you seeing?
You do not need to diagnose it first. A useful description of what changed, what stopped working, or what looks wrong is enough to start.
I’d rather investigate the actual cause than keep stacking fixes on top of guesses.
Broken
Something stopped working.
Errors, broken layouts, failed updates, forms that no longer submit, plugin conflicts, or features that suddenly disappeared.
Unreliable
It works—until it doesn’t.
Intermittent form or email problems, slow pages, unstable behavior, timeout issues, or features that fail only in certain situations.
Compromised
Something looks wrong or suspicious.
Spam pages, strange redirects, unexpected users, injected content, hacked files, or a site that keeps getting reinfected.
Repair work is scoped after I can see the problem
REPAIR SCOPING
Website Repair & Troubleshooting
Fixed scope
I do not quote a repair blind. I first need enough evidence to understand what is failing and what I can reasonably define.
✓ Review the reported problem
✓ Check the affected page, feature, or workflow
✓ Identify the likely cause where evidence supports it
✓ Define the repair I can reasonably scope
✓ Test the repaired behavior
✓ Check the affected page, feature, or workflow
✓ Identify the likely cause where evidence supports it
✓ Define the repair I can reasonably scope
✓ Test the repaired behavior
✓ Price the defined work before it starts
✓ Work through access you control
✓ Back up before risky changes where practical
✓ Explain anything that still needs follow-up
✓ No mandatory maintenance contract

If the cause cannot be confirmed from the information available: I’ll say that before promising a fix. Larger recovery, cleanup, or migration work is scoped separately.
COMMON REPAIR WORK
Problems I can investigate and fix
WordPress errors & conflicts
Plugin or theme conflicts, update failures, PHP errors, broken layouts, white screens, and features that stopped working.
Forms & email delivery
Contact forms that fail, notifications that never arrive, SMTP issues, broken submissions, and unreliable inquiry delivery.
Speed & stability
Slow pages, timeouts, overloaded plugins, caching problems, database issues, and other causes of an unstable experience.
Hacks, spam & cleanup
Malicious redirects, injected pages, suspicious files, spam content, unwanted users, and reinfection investigation.
WHAT I NEED FROM YOU
Show me the problem. I’ll handle the technical investigation.
You do not need a technical explanation. What helps most is a clear description of the symptom, when it started, and anything that changed around the same time.
What you send
The website URL, what is going wrong, where it happens, screenshots or error messages if you have them, and the access needed to inspect the affected system.
What I do first
I reproduce the issue where possible, check the surrounding WordPress setup, look for the first broken point, and separate the symptom from the likely cause before changing things.
REPAIR PROCESS
From symptom to tested repair
The goal is to find the first real failure, define the repair clearly, make the change carefully, and verify the behavior afterward.
1
Show me what’s happening
Send the site, the symptom, and anything you noticed before the problem started.
2
I investigate the cause
I reproduce the issue where possible and inspect the WordPress, hosting, plugin, theme, form, or security layer involved.
3
You get the repair scope
I explain what I found, what I recommend changing, and the price for the defined work before I start it.
4
I repair, test, and report
I make the agreed change, test the affected behavior, and tell you what was fixed and anything that still needs attention.
YOUR SITE. YOUR ACCOUNTS.
I work inside the setup you control.
A repair should not require you to hand over ownership of the website. I use the access needed to diagnose and fix the problem while your domain, hosting, and WordPress accounts remain yours.
✓ Existing hosting can stay in your account
✓ WordPress admin access only when needed
✓ Hosting or database access only when the problem requires it
✓ Backups before risky changes where practical
✓ No required PixelCrafted hosting
✓ No required maintenance contract

Focused access. Focused repair.
I use the access the problem requires, make the agreed repair, and leave the website under your control.

FREQUENT QUESTIONS
Questions about website repair and troubleshooting
Can you fix a website you didn’t build?
Yes. I regularly work on existing WordPress websites. I first need enough access to inspect the problem and the surrounding setup.
Can you tell me the price before looking at the problem?
Not responsibly in every case. I price defined repair work after I can see enough evidence to understand what is failing and what the repair should involve.
Do you fix hacked or spam-infected WordPress sites?
Yes, when the site and hosting access allow a proper investigation. Cleanup may include malicious files, redirects, spam pages, unwanted users, reinfection causes, and follow-up hardening.
What if the problem turns out to be bigger than expected?
I stop at the agreed scope and tell you what changed. Additional work is priced before I continue rather than quietly added to the job.
Do I need to move my hosting to work with you?
No. I normally work through the hosting and WordPress access you already control.
Do I have to sign up for maintenance afterward?
No. Maintenance is available when it makes sense, but it is not required to hire me for a repair.
SOMETHING BROKEN?
Send me the symptom. You don’t need to diagnose it first.
Tell me what stopped working, where it happens, and what changed if you know. I’ll tell you what I need to inspect next and whether the problem is something I can reasonably repair.
